Abstract
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to identify factors that will make opticians to have turnover intention to other optical shops and to suggest effective human resource management that is necessary for continuous growth of optical shops by analyzing how these factors affect on turnover intention.

Methods : This study performed both literature review and empirical study by using survey method. Two hundred surveys are collected via the Internet survey method, and SPSS 18.0 statistics program was used for data analysis; frequency analysis, correlation analysis, T-test, ANOVA, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis were conducted to verify study purposes.

Results : There are statistically significant differences between turnover intention and subjects¡¯ gender, marital status, age, educational level, and work experiences, but there are no statistically significant differences between turnover intention and type of optical shop, flexible time, and 5 working days/week. In addition, factors of relationships with co-workers and reward statistically affect on turnover intention negatively and emotional labor and work overload statistically affect on turnover intention positively.

Conclusions : It is necessary to provide thoughtful considerations for female, unmarried, aged under 30 year olds, educational level of masters or more, and for the opticians who have 1-2 year work experiences. Also, it is needed to establish fair and proper reward system, to improve the level of satisfaction of the relationship with other co-workers, and to conduct the flexible time of working hours.
